In February we unveiled our new taproom area and threw open the doors to our renovated bar. This warm, spacious and inviting space is the beating heart of our onsite brewery but is only a part of what we have on offer. With three distinct areas, whether you are looking for a group celebration in the Mezzanine Bar, an after work destination in our Brewery Bar or a full on bash with the whole Brewery & Taproom, we have you covered.

Versatile Event Spaces at The Hop Sun Tap
We offer three private hire options:
1 - The Mezzanine - Our upstairs mezzanine offers a sizable space with seating for 30 or standing for 45 total. Perfect for social events, club meet ups or work group events / away days, this space regularly hosts game nights, Pilates, painting classes and even the odd Toad Tournament. Flexible configuration to fit your requirements plus dedicated table service option if you don't fancy popping down to the bar! Direct access to the restroom facilities.
Our Mezzanine space offers:

2 - The Brewery bar - if you need something with the wow! factor and a bigger space is a requirement, talk to us about our main bar area. This area comfortably seats 60 and has a capacity in excess of 150. Areas can be sectioned and there is some flexibility on seating arrangements. Whether you are right in the heart of our brewing machine or chilling in the new covered section, this unique space will certainly get your guests talking. The brewery has its own bar and restroom facilities and is fully accessible from the street.

3. The Brewery & Taproom - if you need to go really big, talk to us about venue hire for our whole brewery space. This includes the above areas plus our front bar area. This is the ultimate brewery experience with lots of breakout areas and open spaces which you can adapt to your needs. This option provides seating for up to 120 with a total capacity of 200 people.
This package gives you exclusive use of the whole brewery and is suitable for corporate events, away days or those a special milestone events or celebrations.

Opening hours and licensing terms
As a working brewery space, our usual opening times are Thursday through Sunday but let us know if you are looking for more flexibility. We are very happy to explore options for private hire outside of these periods subject to brewing cycles.
Late-Night Celebrations - with our late licence you can keep the party going for longer.
All our spaces can be hired until 11pm.
Please note, as we are in a residential area and value our neighbours, our external brewery doors will be shut from 9pm and entry and exit after this time is via our on-street entrance.

All of our hires are offered with a range of options and we are happy to work with you on personalisations that meet your requirements and budget. We want your experience with us to be amazing and free from hassle so get in touch and talk to us for a bespoke quote.
Range of catering options available
We always offer a range of bar snacks and hot food including hotdogs, toasties, chips and pretzels which need to be preordered. Alongside this, buffet type options can be sourced if required. For larger events utilising our brewery bar, we can also work with third party pop ups to ensure your catering needs are met. Talk to us about any dietary requirements and we will do our utmost to make them a reality.
While you are here... why not mix it up with a Heathen Brewers brewery tour* - come and get to know the onsite brewery a bit better and spend some time with Head Brewer Mark. Enjoy a 30 min overview of the brewing process and a guided tour of what's what then sample a flight of our amazing Heathen beers brewed right on- site.
